THE LUME VR CAPTURE (VAN GOGH, 2025) - VR Specialist

When the Van Gogh Exhibition was wrapping up, I was called in to create a massive archive of the experience. This involved using an Insta360 Titan to capture 3 different views of the Lume gallery and my A7S3 to create gaussian splats of the supporting rooms in the experience.

The Titan was necessary as it’s medium four thirds sensors perform incredibly well in low light, resulting in a perfect capture of the space. My A7S3 behaved similarly, the low light sensor was able to capture the rest of the rooms and create solid Gaussians from them. We also used an Insta360 Pro 2 on a room that was smaller than the stitch minimum fort the titan, and we tested an RS-1 which failed to record over the 45 minute duration.
